The Ethiopian Customs Commission is seeking qualified candidates for the following open jobs.
With its unique vision and objective, Proclamation number 1097/2018 established the Ethiopian Customs Commission, marking a departure from the previous “Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority.” The commission is led by a commissioner who reports to the Ministry of Revenues.
Goals:
- To provide a state-of-the-art customs administration system that would enable fair, quick, and high-quality service,
- to properly and promptly collect taxes and charges on items that are exported or imported;
- to put into effect pertinent customs laws and international agreements that Ethiopia has endorsed and signed;
- to regulate the import and export of items that are forbidden or restricted;
- To stop and manage customs
First position: executive secretary
A bachelor’s degree, diploma or level IV in administration, secretarial technology, information communication technology, ICT hardware and network service, or a similar discipline, is required for education in secretarial and office administration.
Experience: two to six years of employment
Workplace: Addis Ababa
Pay: 9,246 ETB
Second position: Secretary III
Training: Certificate/Level 10+3/Level III/10+2/Level II/10+1/Level I (provided by COC)
Experience: Two, four, or six years of work
Workplace: Addis Ababa

Post 3: Senior Specialist in Staff Performance Assessment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, development management, MIS, entrepreneurship, business management, or human resource management
Four years of job experience

Post 4: Senior Recruitment and Training Specialist
