On January 24, 2020, ZISC registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. On January 17, 2020, the National Bank of Ethiopia granted the Company a license to conduct nonlife or general insurance business. At the time of registration, the Company had an Ethiopian Birr (ETB) initial subscribed and paid up capital of Birr 112.2 million and Birr 79.89 million, respectively.
