The main goal of this leadership position is to support growth driven by the private sector by safeguarding and attracting investment and utilizing the advantages of British companies. By resolving flagship investor challenges and attracting private sector investment to Africa, you will lead the commercial team in achieving economic growth and job creation.
Reporting to the Country Director, you will support Ethiopia’s and the UK’s growth agenda. Your role will have several goals as a trustworthy business intermediary who knows how businesses make decisions and uses that understanding to direct the Embassy’s operations:
Role: Manager of Transportation
Crucial credentials, abilities, and expertise
- five or more years of experience managing transportation or logistics.
- experience leading a sizable team to provide high-caliber service under duress.
- Speaking Amharic and English fluently
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Excellent negotiating abilities
- Experience with financial management and budgeting
- A current third-grade or equivalent driver’s license is required.
Desired credentials, abilities, and background
relevant educational background (professional qualification or degree related to business and logistics).

Pay range: $635.75 to $1,178.08
