JOB SUMMARY
Samaritan’s Purse needs a motivated and energetic driver to take people to and from activities on and off the site. Drivers are in charge of running Samaritan’s Purse’s crew. This includes making sure that the vehicles are well-maintained according to safe driving rules and filling them up on time for trips. Rules and Regulations for Transportation
Main Duties
• Help get project staff to and from project sites, including official site inspections, in the base location and implementation zone.
• Make sure the vehicle is ready for transport service by checking the oil, water, fuel, tires, and other equipment. Conduct daily safety and security inspections before driving.
• When driving a SPE vehicle, you must observe the rules of the company and the legislation in your area, including speed restrictions.
• Keep accurate records of problems with your car, such as fuel, mileage, and trip logs.
• Every day, clean the inside and outside of the car.
• Assist the Operations Coordinator and General Coordinator with other tasks and duties as required.
• Have a personal and active connection with Jesus Christ and regularly witness for Him.
• Perform daily safety inspections and fill gas tank as needed.
• At the end of each shift, visually inspect the shuttle interior to remove any debris left by passengers.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and do work safely.
• Experience with GPS devices or mapping apps.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Preference for high school graduates with professional driving experience and basic car maintenance abilities.
• Proficient in driving and exploring rural places. • Preference for past INGO work experience.
LANGUAGE
• Proficiency in English and Amharic is essential. • Knowledge of extra national languages is preferred.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to address practical difficulties and deal with a wide range of concrete factors in situations with limited regularity. The ability to interpret a range of directions presented in written, oral, visual, or schedule format.
