We have a state-of-the-art brewery in Debre Birhan, the first of its kind in Africa, in addition to our Gondar brewery. The following opportunity is present due to Dashen Breweries’ ongoing growth and planned expansion.
Title: Mechanical Artisan on Shift
Location: Debre Birhan Number of Positions: 2 (Two) Employment Term Permanent Work Summary
To ensure plant availability and product quality at the lowest possible cost while upholding standards through the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of plant and related devices
Principal Duty
Plant Availability
• Make Use of Proper Tools
• Keep all tools, machinery, and workspaces in good shape.
• Carry out regular, preventative maintenance on a daily basis.
• Perform routine maintenance and report findings to the shift engineer. • Diagnose and fix minor issues with all production-area equipment.
• Take part in the installation of new equipment.
• Report significant fault issues to the shift mechanical engineer in accordance with the escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure all plants are operating safely and effectively.
• Be able to meet daily production targets while working in a team environment.
Conduct root cause analysis in collaboration with the shift mechanical engineer.
• Finish breakdown work orders, make final adjustments, and offer feedback.
• Provide a service in line with the needs of the client.
• Examine and comprehend machine drawings.
• Task planning and implementation.
• Offers suggestions for continuous improvement to the shift engineer or the team leader and supplies data regarding technical difficulties and equipment malfunctions.
• Help operators of special conditions machines.
• Complete any additional tasks that management assigns you as needed.

Adopt SOPs: • Adopt SOPs for maintenance
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing 5s, implementing WCM safety, and keeping all operating machinery inspected for flaws to prevent accidents.
• Responsibility area maintained tidy
• Put company safety policies into action.
• Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
Workplace Prerequisites
Essential Education and Work Experience
Mechanical engineering BSC degree or its equivalent
at least three years of FMCG-related relevant work experience.
